My sister, Nushafreen Palsetia is suffering from Non Hodgkin Lymphoma. She was initially diagnosed with the disease in 2019 and relapsed in May 2020. After over a year of treatments in India, on advice of her treating oncologist, she travelled to Israel with her elder sister in August 2020 for further treatment at Sheba Medical Center, Israel.

She underwent High Dose Chemotherapy and Autologous Stem Cell Transplant treatment at Sheba Medical Center, Israel in September-October 2020. Unfortunately, three months after the transplant a PET CT scan to evaluate treatment response showed a single lesion on the liver.

She then underwent CAR-T therapy treatment in February 2021 at Sheba Medical Center, Israel. PET CT scan done on 30th May 2021 showed no evidence of disease.

Unfortunately, another scan performed on 18th July 2021, shows disease relapse. Official PET CT report by the radiologist is awaited.

The doctors are recommending treatment to put her in remission followed by Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant.

Below is the further course of treatment:

  1. Biopsy will be performed on lesion seen in the scan
  2. Treatment will be given to put the disease in remission
  3. High Dose Chemotherapy and Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant will be performed.

As per HLA typing report in India, my sister, Delnaz Palsetia, is a 100% match for allogeneic (donor) stem cell transplant. The HLA typing test will be repeated at Sheba Medical Center.

The cost estimate  for Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant provided by the hospital is has been obtained and a deposit of $200,000 is required before starting the process.

It is only with the immense support of benevolent trusts and individual donors that we managed to afford the extremely high cost of treatments so far. We are indeed very grateful for the same. We humbly request your help for financial assistance from benevolent trusts to help in covering the cost of further treatment.

Thanking you.

Yours sincerely,

Ruzeen Palsetia
