Our purpose is to assist and to educate and for this, we need to receive funds so that we can deliver our mission.
Thanks to fundraising efforts, bequests and donations, as well as competent financial management, WZO has been able to build up a range of funds to sponsor Zoroastrians in a variety of activities.
We, therefore, urge you to visit this page and to see the range of activities below that you can help us to support.
If you need financial assistance, please go to the ‘Apply for funding‘ page.
Donations to this general fund are much appreciated as it allows the flexibility necessary to enable WZO to channel its resources in response to current requirements. Money from this fund can be sent anywhere in the world. It is, therefore, our preferred option for receiving contributions.
Special Appeals Fund
From time to time a particular need arises, which might be entirely focussed on our own Zoroastrian community.
Occasionally, however, WZO will launch an appeal in the face of a particular event or human tragedy that reaches beyond our own people.
WZO’s members and supporters have been urging it to have a local community centre where they, their spouses including non-Zoroastrian spouses, and their children will be welcomed to attend religious events, seminars, Gathic classes and social events. Any funds received will be used to purchase, refurbish and maintain the centre.
Women and Children’s Fund
This fund was set up by our late Chairman, Dr (Mrs) Shirinbanoo Kutar, to provide a much needed holiday for Zoroastrian Widows and their young children in India.
Noshirwan F Cowasjee Medical Benevolent Fund
WZO utilises this fund to assist our fellow Zoroastrians to meet the high costs of medical treatment anywhere in the world.
Gujarat Farmers Fund
WZO utilises this fund to help our rural co-religionists in India to improve their living standards through improved housing, self-employment and basic education etc.
See the latest video, 'Promise of a New Day', on the work of the World Zoroastrian Organisation Trusts' in Gujarat.
WZO is building a corpus for this fund. It is in place to assist Zoroastrian students where personal financial limitations are a barrier to achieving their academic potential and ultimate goals. Donations to this fund are therefore helping to build a future generation of well qualified Zoroastrians.
Apply for Funding
For WZO to process applications for assistance, we have forms and procedures which need to be followed.
